Description / Interpretation: 

David  Flores is an internationally published graphic designer from Tulare, California who is best known for his signature urban art style that he self-titled, "Stained Glass." David began his career designing for the skateboarding industry.  In the early 2000s, he produced a series of paintings known as "Giants" which depicted Giant Robots in the city of San Francisco.  Soon after, David seized the opportunity to design and produce his own limited edition vinyl toys, clothing and paintings with his own unique style.  David has created murals and artwork from a variety of iconic figures such as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Coco Chanel, Mos Def and Sophia Loren.  David created, "World Stage Legacy" located at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum pays tribute to the Special Olympics World Games and events that have taken place at the Coliseum throughout its more than 90 year history.  Figures include Special Olympics Ambassador Ramon Hooper alongside iconic figures with a connection to the site.  This mural was created in partnership with the 2015 Special Olympics and the generosity of Toyota.  It is one of three murals created for the 2015 Special Olympics under the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles and managed by Branded Arts.  Click the link to watch the video produced by Anchorfield about David P.
