We have learned about our past because of the paintings on the caves, which date back to approximately 32,000–40,000 BP. One day, future generations will look back at today’s mural history and they’ll learned about who we are. Preserving mural history is a must!

Hundreds of artists & art advocates gathered at The Container Yard for the launching of Google Art Project. One of our favorite sights: Iconic master muralist Kent Twitchell & talented Levi Ponce. Levi grew up seeing Kent's artworks and painting murals by his father's side, Hector Ponce. Kent continues to write mural history & Levi continues to change the look of his hometown, Pacoima, with his amazing murals, inspired by his dad & by Kent Twitchell. This is what LA is all about & we're grateful our mural history will be preserved!
